Michael Thomas Smith, 73, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a son of the late Joe Lewis Smith and Maggie Jewell Byrd Smith. He worked at Glasgow Tire with Ronnie Nadile and was a retired boat mechanic from Mark Miller Marine and a US Vietnam era army veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Deborah Smith; two brothers: Larry Eugene Smith (Pat) and Bob Smith (Sandra); one sister-in-law: Brenda Smith; seven nephews: Jimmy Smith (Tracy), Tim Smith (Melissa), David Smith (Missy), Danny Smith (Kathy), Mark Smith (Lindsey), Shawn Smith (Becky) and Rick Smith; three nieces: Sonja Evans (David), Laura Dyer (Josh) and Deanna Smith.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers: Joe Smith and Rick Smith; father and mother-in-laws: Marlin and Marie Brooks Smith; two brother-in-laws: Charles Smith and Clifton Smith.
Funeral will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8;00 pm Tuesday and after 9:00 am Wednesday until time for services at the funeral home. Freedom Warriors will be providing military services at the cemetery.
