Roger Peden Walton

Roger Peden Walton age 87 of Glasgow died Friday, December 27, 2002 at N. H. C. Born December 6, 1915 in Hart County he was the son of the late George William and Nell Peden Walton.
He was a retired farmer and employee of the Kentucky Department of Transportation as operations manager of the Cumberland Parkway. He was a former member of the Barren County School Board and was a member and elder of the Glenview Christian Church and a speaker for the Gideons International.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Eugenia Cartmill Walton. One Son: Lowell Walton and his wife Sara of Glasgow. One Daughter: Gail Matthews and her husband John of Alvaton. One Granddaughter: Nellie Walton of Bowling Green. Four Grandsons: Jack Matthews of Lexington, Keith Walton of Bowling Green, Ben Matthews of Yorktown Va. And Will Matthews of Alvaton.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son William Weldon Walton and a brother David Walton.
Alternate expression of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Gideons International or the Glenview Christian Church Building Fund.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11:00 AM Sunday.
