Rondal Allen Bailey “DROOPY”, 78, Glasgow, died Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in Plainwell, Michigan. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Edgar Lee Bailey and Nora Lee Boles Bailey. Rondal was a “BULL HAULER”, a moniker for truck drivers that haul cattle. Rondal had 66 years on the road and over 16 million miles traveled. Rondal’s passion for trucking started at a young age driving with his father. He was working for Lee Cox Farms.
Rondal loved his family, trucks, hunting, gospel, bluegrass, and country music. He was an avid gun collector and loved to shoot.
Survivors include his wife Ann Bailey; seven children: Frederick Allen Bailey and spouse Lisa Bailey, Rhonda Jean Garnett and partner Michael Sanderson, Gregory Scott Bailey and spouse Kim Bailey, Demetrius Marcus Stear and spouse Yen Tran Stear, Franklin Todd Thousand and spouse Cyndy Thousand, Christopher Sean Stear and spouse Stephanie Stear, and Marnie Lynn Stear; five brothers: Winston Churchill Bailey, Fred Edgar Bailey, Rex Irvin Bailey, James Rubin Bailey, Billy Ray Allen; one sister, Janet Marie Page; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Powell Bailey; one sister, Hattie Lee Hansford; and grandson Diondre’ Tyrese Garnett.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
