Sandra Jean Byrd

 Sandra Jean Byrd, 63, of Glasgow passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville surrounded by family. She was born in Louisville to Doris Jean Emberton and the late Arnold Lewis Emberton. 

 Mrs. Byrd was a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Glasgow. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a Pharmacy Tech for 24 years and retired from AvKare as a VA sales representative. 

 Survivors include her husband Steve Byrd of Glasgow; two sons: Jonathon Byrd (Amy) of Glasgow and Justin Byrd (Heather) of Summer Shade; eight grandchildren: Kayleigh Andrews (Caleb), Kaidence Byrd, Jon Ryan Byrd, Khloe Byrd, Savannah Ferreira (Xavier) all of Glasgow: Faylee Cassady (Connor) of Birmingham, Alabama, Jaxson Byrd and Aubrie Byrd of Summer Shade; her mother, Doris Jean Emberton; two sisters: Donna Morgan (Kevin) of Glasgow and Janet Hunley (William) of Hiseville; one brother-in-law, Mark Sanders of Cave City; several nieces and nephews, and her special dog Rhett. 

 In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother Clifton Ray Emberton and one sister Debbie Sanders. 

 Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association or to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
