Sarah E. Nelson
June 30, 1917 ~ December 8, 2001
Sarah E. Nelson, 84, Glasgow, died Saturday at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late Wiley and Maude Norville Simmons, she was a retired seamstress and the widow of the late Garnell E. Osborne and Lorien Nelson.
Survivors include one daughter, Paula Frazier and her husband, Steve of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Sarah Ellington Frazier of Sunshine, LA., Travis Frazier of Nashville and Jenny Frazier of Lexington; one sister, Mary Dell Conrad of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Willie Simmons, Ellis Simmons, Harry Simmons, Ray Simmons, James Simmons, Frank Simmons and Stanley Simmons and by two sisters, Velma Simmons Peden and Mabel Simmons Matthews.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home.
