Scott Jeffry Smith, 58, Glasgow, passed away peacefully October 9, 2023 at VA Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Scott was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served his country during Desert Shield. He previously worked as a speech pathologist.
Scott is survived by his wife Carol (Hutchinson) Smith and his daughter Abigail Smith of Glasgow; his mother Fern (Kurtz) Belford; sister Michele Cooper; brother Ray Benedict and uncle David Kurtz (Wanda) and step-brother Rob (Anita) Belford all of Pennsylvania; and many loving nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Benedict and step-father Bob Belford.
A memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
