Stephanie Ann Thompson Shirley, age 46, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024. A native of Green County, she was born April 3, 1977 to Barbara Beard Thompson and the late Phillip Thompson.
Stephanie had a servant’s heart. She loved everybody she met and had never met a stranger. As a 1995 graduate of Glasgow High School, she began her life-long path in nursing. As a nurse of nearly 30 years at NHC Healthcare, she cared for and left a lasting impact on countless people. She had a love for her family and friends that was unwavering. Stephanie enjoyed her life with her family and friends camping, boating, and attending car shows.
She is survived by her mother Barbara Thompson; her husband Sherman Shirley; her daughter, Natalie Shirley and her “Boy” as she called him, Joshua Bailey; her two brothers: Chris Thompson and wife Sandy, and Jeremy Thompson and wife Felicia; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Friday and continue Saturday at the funeral home.
