Steven Edward Sutherland

Steven Edward “Eddie” Sutherland, 77, of Glasgow, passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 at his home. He was the son of the late Paul and Virginia Sutherland of Buffalo, KY.

Steve was a United States Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam Era; a retired technician at GTE; and a member of the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed spending time at Fox Hollow Golf Club and loved his Kentucky Wildcats.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Sharp Sutherland, and one brother, Doug Sutherland.

Survivors include two sons: Stacy (Allyson) of Glasgow and Shad (Jenny) of Charleston, SC; four granddaughters: Hayden Sutherland of Knoxville, Kennedy Sutherland of Bowling Green, Ella Sutherland of Louisville, and Kala Sutherland of Charleston; three brothers: Mickey, Gwyn, and Larry Sutherland; two sisters: Lexie Smith and Roberta Thompson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 12 noon Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
