Thelma Kay “Aunt Kay” Chapman, 69, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Signature Health Care in Glasgow. She was a daughter of the late James Edward and Lelia Mae Binkley Chapman. She had a loving heart and loved helping with the raising of her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, she was always quick with a smile and a joke for the children. She was a member of Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her caregivers: Leonard and Brandy Ballard; her nieces and nephews: Ashley Bowles (Matt), Amber Chapman (Kelsie), Megan Chapman (Shane), Jennie Smith (Josh), Tracy Smith (Mandi), Brandi Manning, Bubba Ballard (Tabby), Lacie Spillman (Greg); several great-nieces and nephews: Brayden Emmitt, Paxton Emmitt, Larkin, Keldon, Brantley, Brenlyn, Alexis Cannon, Ziva Cannon, Bailey Smith, Chase Smith, Cole Smith and Jhett Smith; lifelong friend: Bobby Close.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Leon Chapman and Thomas Chapman; one sister: Shirley Wilburn; one sister-in-law: Genene Chapman; one niece: Pam Smith.

Funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Tracy Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 am Friday until time for services.
